Great Stock Picks of the Past

In learning how to pick the future winners, it is instructive to look at some past winners and see what characteristics they had during their growth periods.   While some of these stocks are still growing and might be good investments, others have matured and stagnated.  Some have even fallen from glory.  In those cases, you can also look and see how the business changed before the fall to understand the warning signs and learn when to get out.

Take a look at these examples of great picks from the 80’s-2000’s:

Home Depot (HD), Pacific Sunware (PSUN), Walgreens (WAG), Freddie Mac (FRE), Clorox (CLX), Proctor and Gamble (PG), Harley Davidson (HOG)
